Tehachapi
My First CA hike, not very intersting but the closest option in Tehachapi.

Double
Hiked this one twice on the way to and from Double with my buddy Bruno. There was some snow.

Double up
With Dean, we tagged Tehachapi on the way over to Double Mountain. We were treated to the most amazing display of ice falling from the trees on the upper slopes, it was an incredible display for about 2 hours.

Well developed trail to the top
Climbed Tehachapi Mountain and Double Mountain as a day hike. Tehachapi's summit is off limits but there is a register a bit away from it. From the looks of it most people hike past anyways (myself included). We continued further in to bag Double Mountain.
Up the short and steep road/trail in late afternoon from Tehachapi Mountain Park. From the summit dropped to the saddle with Double Mountain where I had to wait out some rain and thunderstorms (I could feel electricity when I touched the summit rocks on Tehachapi. Did not hang around there for long).
Once up Double Mountain the sun began to set and I could see the glow and fires from nearby lightning strikes all over the southern Sierra. Really enjoyed the trip.

Double Dip Dayhike
Gained a little perspective on my new surroundings. Enjoyable dayhike of Tehachapi and Double Mtn with the pooch. Was nice to find a little cooler temps than down in town. Can't wait to snowshoe these in the winter.

Easy hike with Black Mtn.
Enjoyable hike with lots of snow above 7,000 feet. The area is surprisingly beautiful with perfect weather.

Stormy
Started around 10 AM up Nuooah trail, catching the road and then the steep use trail to the top. Just a big grunt, but good for the legs. Fluke thunderstorms developed as I was nearing top. Had a nice rain for most of the way down - mitigating the heat nicely.

Cold November day
Cold and windy, but cloudless skies. It was a nice walk, though it didn't take as long as I thought. The dog liked it. A lot. So much that she extended her walk (unauthorized) some 45 minutes longer then mine. At least she can be relied upon to return to the car...
