roomy and warm... but mouse-infested: bring earplugs!
There's a sleeping platform with room for three close friends (bring pads - gaps in the boards!), plus a couch-sized bench. The floor is not flat but you could sleep a few people there too.
There's level ground around the cabin, but watch for muddy spots, and also watch for human waste.
The spring is beside the trail just below the cabin - the runoff crosses the trail, you can't miss it.

Re: roomy and warmAccording to the Flagstaff Area Management Plan drafted by the Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands, the Fire Warden's cabin is slated for removal. A group tent site will replace it. There is a link to the plan on the Abraham page for anyone who's interested.

Lived in that cabinIn the Summer of 1964, Tim Buckley and I lived in that cabin for 3 months, climbing to the fire tower that existed on the summit at that time, above the lightening shattered pines (which is why it was abandoned) and down to the creek below the cabin, where we skipped from stone to stone. At night we ate brown rice and spam and onions, played Go and drank wine by candle-light, and slept to the rustle of mice in the pine-cone corners.
