Intro to Red Rocks
With my wife and dog. Followed the directions on the route page but there is now a nice trail from the parking lot that goes to the climbers path up. Makes it easier than walking up the road and then along the fenceline. We went to the ruins first then slid along the rock wall to the path up. Had to take turns hitting the top as we did not have our dog do the last 3rd class step up. Gorgeous views of the area from up top. Really neat and fun, quick scramble.

Cockscomb
Fun little mountain with a neat summit. This isn’t climbed as much as other peaks in the area.

different strokes
I couldn't match CP's friction on the slickrock slab (after all, he had sneakers!), so I found a creepy alternate route where I didn't have to depend on my funky right foot. Of course, none of this was necessary! I doubt the normal route is more than class 2. This quick trip was the prelude to a rainy hike for the rest of the morn and early afternoon.

Trail, with variation at top
On this, the driest part of the day, MoapaPk and I followed the trail up to the final cliffs, then picked a slightly more challenging way through the cliffs by working up a class 4-easy5 slab to the summit plateau.
We found the ruins on the way down, but I'm not certain they're even real...

Variation # 2
Very easy approach with some minimal route finding skills. Pretty steep for the last .25 miles but nothing too crazy. Cool ruins near the cliffs and excellent views from the top.
