Accidental summit
Honestly just saw this on Google Earth and it looked like a good short walk from Galena Summit for sunset views a bit different than what you get from the scenic lookout off 75...was surprised to find a benchmark at the top, had no idea it was considered an actual named mountain! Great quick walk for views of the Sawtooths, Boulders, and Smokies. Didn't do Avalanche Peak though...maybe some other time.

Plan B
Good back-up plan after turning back on Titus Peak due to cornices and deep loose snow. This "short" outing felt like a long slog due to the recent heavy snowfall.

Snowshoe
Did the two peaks as leisurely solo snowshoe trip. Unfortunately no views due to a light snowstorm. Trip Report

Quick Peak - Cross Only
It was a beautiful day. A quick snowshoe...when you just want to get out. Pair it with lunch at Galena Lodge and you have a very leisurely mountain outing.

Beautiful day
A beautiful spot and a quick snowshoe. I've driven past this a thousand times, glad I stopped.

Good Name
I'm not sure why I did this peak, probably just because it was in the guide book and it was close off the road for winter. There's nothing to this- pick any of a million hills anywhere in the mountains and give it a cool name- same thing.

A very quick day, great for conditioning especially if you have to break trail. Though I must say, its a rarity for a hike to be boring to me but the benign nature of the terrain sure wasnt much to look at.
