Re: ropes?!Only Olympus Eric, which has deteriorated into a steep ice/snow climb....I got nailed with a small boulder on that one...damn close to being a bad deal...it hit me just right though...global warming is putting up some rotten ice in this area...we even had to change our descent based on old beta gone bad due to bad ice..Fryatt and Lowell we went without ropes...my two man team was only one without a rope on Lowell....my four man team took one on Fryatt and did have to use it to belay 2 across the notch, because they climbed up the wrong side and we rappelled maybe 2 pitches coming down...I would do both mts solo....no rope on Lowell, but I would take half a rope on Fryatt for those semi rappels...unless tons of experience, a rope should go on all three of these Jasper climbs, Fryatt, Lowell and Olympus...I have tons more beta on the other peaks back there too, let me know if you are going in...cheers Eric
