The North Ridge Route

This view from a couple miles north of Smith Peak looks back over the gentle north ridge. Cutoff Peak is behind the mound near the center. The hike is fairly gentle. From the trailhead to the mountain is about 8 miles, 6 of which are cross country. There are some steep portions, but they are not visible in this photo. October 2010
