The Northeast Face of...

The Northeast Face of Tahquitz in perfect conditions! It has been several years since Tahquitz iced up this good but when it does again, the climbing will again be out of this world. Re Remarkable

Hi Steve: You have a good memory, Rock & Ice # 35, "Ice climbing in California" article written by a guy named Tucker. More importantly, some of the best ice climbing one will ever experience, anywhere. Yes, the higher you go, the steeper it gets. The exit overhang and the gully above were out of this world. Unfortunatelly, all my slides are (still) not scanned. Thanks for helping me remember all those fantastic days on winterized Tahquitz. Cheers, Alois.

Hopefully we'll be blessed to have more ice on Tahquitz this year.
