Did this one in conjunction with a hike to Mary's Rock. Easy, with lots of good views to the west.

Section Hike of AT
Climbed over this on day 1 of a 4-day section hike of the AT. We started just below the summit at the Corbin Cabin parking area. We actually ran into a rattlesnake right next to the Pinnacles Picnic area. Nice overlook from the top.

On way to Mary's Rocks. Like many, I also was not sure which boulder group was the true summit.

Pinnacle's Eleven
Nice views up there, but I climbed eleven different rocks that I considered candidates for the true summit!
The views from the ridgetop are really nice. There was a big fire on the ridge to the west this day.

From Skyline Drive
There were many different summits on this one to choose from. I tried them all I think with no definitive answer as to which was the highest.

My wife's first mountain
On Veteran's Day, my wife and I hiked to The Pinnacle from Jewel Hollow Overlook. It was about 70 degrees. We saw that even 1,000 feet in elevation made a big difference in the foliage. There were still leaves on the trees on Oventop Mountain (less than 2,500 feet), but the trees on The Pinnacle were bare.

Hot hot Memorial Day. Nice leg stretcher. Good wildflowers along the way. Views were limited due to haze, but still nice.

Appalachian TrailHiking across on the AT in 2021, enjoyed the new from the rocks. I thought this was the single best view I saw on the AT that summer.
