The pond below Helm
Ponds on the karst of Kvarner islands are rarity. They have been for thousands of years used by families, living of herds of sheep. This pond is an interesting one, because it clearly shows how stone walls (gromače) were directing sheep of different owners towards the pond. That's why these walls are called "dirita". March 14th, 2009.
