Backpacked to Booth Lake which was still completely frozen over and surrounded by sloppy snow. Gained The Fly's south ridge west of the lake and followed it over The Fly to The Spider. We retraced our steps back over The Fly and then descended moderate snow slopes northwest of the lake.
9/26/10: Climbed The Fly and The Spider via Booth Lake with lordhelmut, weather was good and we traversed over to West Partner bypassing the Fly on the Piney side of the ridge.
10/11/15: Climbed with Rachael from Booth Lake, hit the ridge early and traversed to The Fly from an eastern false summit. Fun bonus scrambling on good rock!
Climbed the Spider and the Fly in high school. Camped near the creek to the north of the peaks. Beautiful area. Remember it being Class 3-4? We were roped on the last section of one or the other.

Climbed the East Ridge to The Fly, with Ben L. Didn't realize we'd hit this summit until looking back at the maps and pictures. What a great ridge, all the way from E. Booth Pass.

South Ridge of the Spider via The FlyThe Spider turned out to be one of the better Gore peaks that I have climbed. The view is insane. The Fly seemed sort of an extension of the Spider.
