BeautifulI should hav been there myself this summer, but it was too dangerous, wet and slippery the first part. Sad to say.

Where were you...while taking this photo?
Fantastic shot and angle!

Re: Where were you...Thank you very much from my wife. The photo might look as if was taken from a helicopter, but actually it was taken from a little below the top of the east summit of la Mèsola, which is only slightly lower than the central summit, but a much less dramatic looking peak. (It may be seen in my wife's "Father and Son on Mèsola" photo, currently number 30 among our highest rated photos.)

IncredibleThis is a beautiful photo. I have never been to Europe, but would love to go someday. There is so much to see and so little time! Maybe when I retire... Thank you for your comment on my photo of Lake Powell Arizona. Best wishes to you both. You are models of what I hope for my not so distant future!

Re: IncredibleThank you for your kind words about the photo and us! Yes there is much to see in Europe, and the Alps are an incredibly varied mountain chain, we hope you get a chance to go there sometime.

Great Photo! This part of the Alps looks so much like parts of our Rockies. Beautiful! Someday, I too hope to visit.
