Interesting viewVery cool. I've never seen the mountain from this side. When I was there in January 05, all of our view/climbing was from the eastern (Riobamba) side.

Dominating viewNice photo. I'm curious what the elevation difference between this road and the summit is.

Re: Dominating viewThe road is about 3800-4000 mts over sea level. Normally the snow level starts over 4800-5000 mts. On cold and rainy days you may find the snow at 4200 mts or even at less altitude. Once I found snow on the road and fields around.
Many many years ago when spaniards arrive in Ecuador (1500-1600) the snow and glacial levels were permanent at 3500 mts near Chimborazo.
