Thompson Peak summit pano

360 degree panorama from the summit of Thompson Peak (7795') in the Diamond Mountains, NE Sierra Nevada. We had just climbed the NE face, the top of which can be seen on the left side of the photo. Honey Lake and the Honey Lake Valley are left of the fire lookout; Indian Creek Valley and the northern Feather River Watershed are right of the lookout. April 2012.

Awesome

I have admired Thompson Peak for a long time. I think it is pretty dramatic on its own, but the giant thumb makes it stand out even more. It is easily the most rugged peak around. I hope you post a page on it!

Re: Awesome

That looks awesome. Far more rugged than people would give that area credit for. You really should post a page on it.
