wonderful mountain range   Sucess!

3 solid day hikes with 4 nights in Branham Lakes campground with Dennis & Kurt. Day 1: We hiked Mount Bradley, Lady of the Lake Peak, to Belle Point with several intervening un-named surveyed points along the ridge. Day 2: west peak of Leggat Mountain (10216), Thompson Peak, point 10382. Day 3: (from South Mill Creek Road): Ramshorn Mountain, Porphyry Mountain and point 9803. B.L. campground is an excellent base for peak-bagging!

East ridge from Branham Lakes  Sucess!

This is a fun and easy hike from Branham Lakes campground. Once you get up the trail (@ 1 mile) to the saddle, there are a lot of accessable peaks. In fact, looks like you could pretty much traverse the whole central spine of the range without too much difficulty. I decided to continue on to the north summit of Thompson Peak, which is only 4 feet lower and provides a different perspective. Also went up Leggat Mountain and found a really great high alpine fishing lake as well. The Branham Peaks look a little bit steeper and rockier, but I will definitely be back some day!
