Thompson's Paintbrush (Castilleja thompsonii)
Thompson's paintbrush is the common paintbrush in central Washington and adjacent British Columbia. It is found primarily on the plains and scablands of the Columbia Basin, but can be found at low to mid elevations in the surrounding mountains. Photo from The Sand Hills, Washington.
