Three Queens as seen from the east (from somewhere closely NNE of Pt. 5515) on June 21, 1998. Note the developing thunderheads. The most forboding clouds were to the north of me, yet the first lightning strike I saw was to the south. It was one of the more newsworthy times I was trapped in dangerous weather in the mountains.
