Thunder Mountain, Summit

The actual highpoint, which is one of two outcrops among the broad summit area, is not visible, but it is only just out of sight and very close. The snow, which may not even be present in August most years, was easy going on a gentle slope, not even steep enough for a glissade on the return. Beartooth Mountains, MT-- June 2010
