Tiger Salamander Trying Not to be Seen

The tiger salamander, like most amphibians, is locally endangered in Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. We saw this one early in the morning in camp at Colter Bay Village, GTNP. June 2009.

Arthur just said that Tiger Salamanders are
locally endangered in the Yellowstone area.

Seems to me, the Tiger Salamander should take
"propagation lessons" from the grasshopper.

Yes, a salamander is quite a ways up there
in the food chain.
