Route Climbed: Northwest Ridge
Up and over Nearpoint in the heat of the day. 80 degrees at the base of Tikishla. Took the Northwest ridge. Plenty of snow to help with the descent. Beautiful day and some nice sun. Plenty of water at the base.

Route: Basher trailhead-The Domes-Knoya-Tikshla
My Lil Bro and I headed out about 6pm and finished the hike, and put up our tent with our headlamps on at about 1am. Slept in until about 9am. It was very foggy, so we tried to wait until the sun burned of the fog, but it didn't look like it was going to happen. We climbed it anyway. It was very mystical and a little scary, but a great time. We took the Northwest ridgeling this time. It is a lot easier than the Southwest ridgeline. Not too much of a view, but we were hiking up there for our Aunt who was having surgery that weekend for some cancer. I think being that much closer to God, or whoever hears our prayers, definitely helped. Aunt Susie is doing great, and I had a great time with the best Lil Bro that a Big Bro can ask for!

Route: Basher trailhead-The Domes-Knoya-Tikishla
Took the ridgeline from The Domes to Knoya, then Knoya to Tikishla. Took the Southwest ridge up to the top and signed the summit log. Took the valley back...bad idea! Total trip was 13 hours. It was still the most amazing thing I had done in the wild of Alaska since I have lived up here. It was my first hiking trip in the Chugach ever!

Route Climbed: West- Southwest Ridge Date Climbed: 10/7/05
Obadiah Jenkins and myself scrambled up this peak in good time, I got back just in time for class. Weather was partly cloudy, temps in the low 50s, moderate breeze, a special day in the mountains. The trend continues, we din't see a single person in the mountains all day! Forget to call the U.S. Army before summiting, oops!? We signed a summit log on the summit, black PVC screw top tube, interestingly, it seemed a few feet shorter then a bump on the ridge, just 1/16 of a mile away....trivial indeed....wish I had an accurate altimeter!......unforgetteable day in the Chugach.....
