Nice Day
I took the 3 T's trail starting at the Ice House Canyon Trailhead and ended up at the parking lot of the Mt.Baldy ski lifts. I was unable to bag all 3 T's as I was running behind due to the snow and had to skip Telegraph peak

Loved this hike. Left from Icehouse Trailhead at 1130am and made it to the summit at 200pm. Took in the views of the High Desert, Mt. San Antonio, Ontario Peak, and Telegraph peak. Couldn't find the register to sign, but got a picture at the top. Is it just me or does the summit marker look like a grave??? A great day hike!

The 3 Ts
Started at the Middle Fork of Lytle Creek and came up to Icehouse Saddle, hit the 3 Ts on the way to Mt. Baldy. This was my 2nd attempt at this route, the 1st time in December we camped on Telegraph and went back due to ice and snow, and no Ice axe or crampons. Have hiked 3 or 4 times.

Did it once as a roundtrip to Telegraph and back, once as a 3Ts hike, and once on a snowy spring day.

Did this as part of the 3 Ts. Nice day out, no crampons required. Did a traverse from Icehouse Canyon to Baldy Notch. Hiked down to the parking lot and hitched a ride from another SP member back to the truck. 7 hours car to car.

Baldy + 3Ts
Perfect day in late November. Did Baldy via Bear Canyon before the 3Ts. Seemed like the toughest part of the hike was the long walk from the Icehouse trailhead back to the village via the highway.

Cary and I
Cary is a good friend's brother from Maine, and he wanted to see some snow, and boy did he get it! We dawned the crampons at the parking lot and moved up the Trail, lots of great fun!

Via Icehouse Canyon
Second time I went up to Timber mountain. Rolling in fog/clouds gave it a mystic atmosphere. Had the summit to myself for the second time.
First time I was greeted by several deer (Aug 27th 2005).
Started out in the Icehouse Canyon P-Lot. This was one of our first of many to get ready for Convict Canyon. Had lunch at the saddle, and continued to Timber.

Ice House Canyon - Three T's and back
Started out from Ice House Canyon and this was the first peak of the day. Views were o.k. with a heavy marine layer south. Off to Telegrapgh and then Thunder and back to Ice House Canyon. A very long day!

how could I get lost?
... by being exceedingly stupid.
coming from Telegraph, crossed over a little snow-patch and lost the trail... looked back behind me and took the upper, instead of lower foot-path... and looped back to where I started, utterly confused. When I figured out what I'd done, I felt SO stupid... yet still made it across. Hooray~! (and saw ZERO people between the 3 Ts. foggy sprinkly day, with near-zero view and mucho clouds)

Last of three on a day hike via Icehouse Canyon
After doing Ontario and Bighorn, I had time for one more and Timber fit the bill nicely. Its a quick trip from Icehouse Saddle and would make a nice easy day to do just the one I think, if conditions are good. Thanks again to Steve Larson for adding this page.
