Time to put on crampons!

On the route to Campo Uno on Huascaran. Apart from the three meters steepish ice at the point where we went on it, the lower part of the glacier is very easy, and there had been plenty of others before us marking the trail. Mind you, we were not exactly fast, but that wasn't because of the difficulty of the terrain, but because of the altitude and our big packs - we were hauling supplies up there to stay for a while at Campo Dos, in case the weather wouldn't allow us to climb it right away. 9 July 2011.
