State HP #40
This was a very easy peak to find, well marked on the roads. Located inside its own state park, Timms Hill had some views from the top of the observation tower. Nice to check it off our list. We drove to this, as well as Mt Arvon, MI in the same day. State HP #40......i cannot believe it, 80% of the way, WOHOOOO!!
Gorgeous area in the autumn season. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit.

Highpoint #9
After successfully "summitting" Illinois, I hammered the rental car north to hit Wisconsin later that same day. I left the supplemental oxygen canister in the car for the climb up the tower.

Timms Hill
As another climber put it, this is an "unremarkable bump". All due respect given, common logic might suggest that the state/county do some site-leveling excavation work at Timm's Hill (1956 ft) so that the summit of the more dramatic/prominent and essentially equal-elevation Rib Mountain (1924 ft) becomes the state high point.
Hiked the small trail up and climbed the wooden tower. I thought about ascending the steel tower, but looked a little too precarious for me. Passed some Amish folks on the way up. Very pleasant day and experience.

Beautiful Views
Another easy HP for the family (#7.) My 13 y.o. son and 11 y.o. daughter and I climbed the radio tower for some awesome views of the Wisconsin countryside. The rest of the family climbed the wooden tower.
Afterward, we stopped in Tomahawk and ate some burgers and cheese curds at Dogs 'n Suds. Very yummy! Then we drove on to Rhinelander for the night where we learned about the legend of the Hodag! The next day we headed for the Michigan high point.

Tough To Find
There were only about two signs marking the highpoint. One in a small town named Prentice, and the other leading into the county park. Easy hike after we had found it, though.
