"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

Untitled CommentTo start with I am very glad that this important 7000er finally has a page on Summitpost! The basic information you give is good, but the page definitly needs photos. Also you should add the coordinates of the mountain and some detailed information about the route would be good. Once that is done, drop me a line and I will upgrade my vote.
edit 17 december 2005: Ok, with the photo's added its more complete. Please also ad the coordinates!

A Good Book....A good book to read if anyone is interested in this area is Stones of Silence, Journeys in the Himalaya by Dr. George B. Schaller. He spent six years in the area studying the wildlife of the area. It's a really interesting read.

As you're heading for Tibet soon, this one may be of great interest for you.

Re: A Good Book....That does look like another good one. I like his writing style as well as enjoying some of his thoughts on life that he interjects into his writings. Thanks for the tip.

Niceto be able to read about this great peak here. When I was fourteen I got a book about the Norwegian first ascent, a very impressive performance by the Norwegians.
