Route Climbed: Tollhouse Traverse Date Climbed: 23 Nov 2003
Had I not been so intent on getting where I was going, that slab would have scared the crap out of me. Free soloing a 5.7 slab? Me, who would've thought? Give me a crack!
Route Climbed: Tollhouse Traverse, Think Nothing Of It, Elephant Walk, Hippo In A Bathtub, Mineral Magic, Fresno Flats, Free James Brown, Strawberry Jam........phew...too many to name! Date Climbed: Dec 26 2002
Although I have done multiple routes on Tollhouse and reached its summit, the best way to get in some fun exercise at Tollhouse is do laps on the Tollhouse Traverse. Start at the hang glider slab area and descend the gully and over to the base of the Traverse. Climb to the top and head back to the slab area via the "manzanita tunnel" and dirt trail. I submit to any challengers to beat the current and only standing record of 21 minutes and 20 seconds (done on October 12, 2003)! Max laps in 4 hours: seven
