Very fun but wish I could of done the Kelso Ridge instead of just the regular route. Looking forward to coming here in the winter or spring to try other routes on it and to also bag Gray's Peak.

Grays/Torreys Combo
Though shorter by a tad than its neighbor, I think Torreys is far more exciting and the views are better. And, maybe, just maybe, a little less traffic. I was up by 8AM after having summited Grays, didn't linger long as the cloud deck was closing in rapidly (and yet the masses continued upwards).

This was the first time I ascended this mountain NOT via the kelso ridge. It was good for training, not too terribly exciting, but beautiful. great day, got the clients from my tx facility to come out and enjoy it.

Skiing Dead Dog
Climbed Dead Dog with a whole crew from SP. Snow was good in the morning, corned up nicely by 9am for a sweet ski descent of the couloir. Great meeting everyone and a stellar group. The road into Stevens Gulch is fairly washed out as of 6-7-08, and I wouldn't recommend it for a low clearance vehicle(8"+ is fine).

Ski Descent of NW Couloir
Perfect weather, perfect partner and alot of work. I couldn't make it all the way, but what should I expect when fighting a cold, out of shape and an 8 month old that's still not sleeping through the night! I estimate we stopped at 13,500. This was a day of firsts: first time skiing a 14er, skiing in June, using crampons and climbing a couloir with skis on my pack. Had a blast despite my conditions. I will be back!

finishing the winter pair
scooted up this bugger after grays. didn't have any energy but knew this would be my best opportunity to summit torreys this winter. found a safe glissade path off grays during the descent to save some ware 'n tare on the ol' knees!

Nice hike
Hiked up Grays and Torreys on four hours' sleep after an eight-hour drive from Salt Lake. J and I met up with a couple friends and we were up and down in a hurry. Beautiful day, easy grades to the summit, great views.
