"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."

Barclay Lake approachA nice hike with Heather past 3 lakes. The slabs we slightly scrambly but not bad if you pick your line carefully. The trick is to ascend in the NE direction and avoid the most down-sloping sections. The views from teh summit were some of the best I have seen this year. This peak is centrally located to a lot of stuff. On the descent we explored the old cabin on Eagle Lake and I went for a swim.

Ski tripDate is a wild guess. This is an ideal ski trip, nice route up Eagle Creek, and the descent slope angle is perfect cruising.

By the back doorClimbed Townsend via the "back door" approach out of Skykomish. Ascended a straight line from Eagle lake up through the slabs, gaining the ridge. From there it's an easy ridge scramble over a couple of false summits. Flipped through the register and saw AD's name- nice! Descended directly down the south face, shaving off some considerable time. Trip report forthcoming...
