Started from Hoosier Pass at 5AM. Took East Ridge to summit North Star. Connected to Wheeler, then to Clinton, then to McNamee, then to Traver. Descended into basin and took 4WD road back. Back at car around 1:45PM. No wind and lots of sun. Actually started to pour, hail, and storm as soon as I got back. The crux of this route is the headwall along the ridge to Wheeler. This ridge rapidly changes from Class 2 to 3 to 4. Trust no rock because there are lots of loose holds. Also, lots of spider webs along the ridge past the headwall. If you hate spiders as much as me, it may make you turn around.

A fun climb, with a mix of steep snow, rock, and talus. Continued to Clinton for a loop. Trip report.

Ski
A lot of fresh snow, left the skis below the summit. Nice day - nobody around.
The Wheeler road was heinous though - I had to carry my skis through deep puddles of water.
The wife, dog and I finally made a successful climb of Clinton, McNamee and Traver after getting stormed off on a previous attempt.

Summited Clinton, McNamee and Traver from Montgomery Reservoir. Overall a great day hiking/scrambling along the Continental Divide. It was also nice not seeing anyone, including 4 wheelers, on the entire route. Solitude is bliss. It reminded me of a similar trip a few years ago climbing French, Frasco and Casco.

Clinton, Traver, McNameeNice loop from Montgomery Reservoir. Started with Lincoln, ended with Traver. The road wasn't a ton of fun to walk for the first couple miles though..
