Don't miss the 3rd class ledge!
Climbed the route solo from Kearsearge pass over Gould. I missed the 3rd class ledge system on the summit block and traversed around to the North side of the peak. Definitely not the best way to go. Found the ledge on the way back and easily descended back to the col on the south side of the summit. Descended to the unnamed lakes north of Golden trout lakes and found faint trails back to onion valley. The river crossings made it very interesting.

Mini Traverse
From Golden Trout Lake, Mt. Gould took longer to summit than expected. The scree was horrible and the snow made the progress even slower. Gould summit was fun, but the climb up there was awful. The first bit of the traverse to Dragon was fun and does need route finding. We stayed on the east side of the ridge for most of the way before making our way up to a small pass. From there, we had to turn back as it was getting too late. We made our way back to Golden Trout Lake, which required a couple of downclimbs before getting to the lose scree. Would love to try this again with more time as Dragon Peak looked really cool.

Casual traverse
Gould wasn't much of a peak, but Dragon was cool.

Traverse from Mt Gould
Completely awesome climb! Dave and I had a blast with his perfect route-finding skills and my ..uh...my.....my tenacity... yea, that's it. Measly summit with no register, but the trip up and views were stupendous!
