Guided route
Due to a slow group member and nearing weather window, we had to turn around a bit before te summit.
Nice scrambling up a quite mountain.

Acclimatization
This was a nice acclimatization peak from Vittorio Emanuele hut for Gran Paradiso. As a pair we approached the face first rather than the normal route witch hugs the ridge. The glacier on the face has massively retreated there are a few entertaining gullies flanked by rock bands on the face. We didn't stay for too long on the face, but traversed across to the normal route.

Easy acclimatisation climb
From Vittorio Emanuele II hut, alone, in good weather conditions, with some snow from 2.800 m but partially clear of snow over the NO ridge. Further descend over the NW ridge to the Colle de Gran Paradiso. Here some easy passages on rock, except a gendarme near de top with III grade climb. I avoided it to the N.

Normal route from Vittorio Emmanuele
We started from the Refuge Vittorio Emmanuele II, in overcast weather and light snow. It started to clear up a bit and we just took it slow. In less then three hours we were standing on the summit. We caught glimpses through the clouds and the view was great. We had the summit to ourselves. It's an easy non technical climb but a fun mountain though.

We started to climb the Ciaferon but due to bad weather we changed plans and climbed this peak. We reached the summit around 13.00 hrs and had a nice view.
Nice and quite mountain to climb! We were the only ones that day that climbed the Tresenta while the Grand Paradiso was very crowded with a traffic jam at the small rigde just below the top. The route was very nice with a combination of rock climbing and snow/ice instead of the normal route which is mainly rocks.
