Tri-County Peak
Good day for a hike. Bit cloudy, cool enough but windier than hell. Climbed along with Jupiter Hill on the same day. Great views of Park City, Wasatch County and parts of Big Cottonwood. Nice hike will do again.

Climbed solo after 10,420/"Mount Venture". A steep but short slog up from Guardsman Pass rewards one with fabulous views and a neat summit with a weather station and the top of Jupiter lift just below it on either side. Surprisingly enough met a few folks on top of this obscure yet accessible peak. I took a few pics then rejoined the rest of my group, both of whom having skipped the climb, for the remainder of our massive 20-mile hike that took us from the top of Park City to the bottom and eventually saw us walking along sidewalks up to Deer Valley to finish all 20 miles. Very nice little peak, the whole hike was very beautiful, but I cannot recommend anything but the peak in good conscience due to sheer difficulty!
Quick jaunt up the south ridge from the pass. Followed the access road down to the trail after that.

Straight Up Now Tell Me
Met a friend at Guardsman Pass to pick up some tables from him and figured I'd get some stellar views. I walked straight up the ridge north from Guardsman Pass and was offered great views, headed down the ridge to Jupiter and also enjoyed great views of the cliffs of Jupiter!
Used this as a quick warm up before attempting Clayton Peak

Many times
Been here at least a dozen times on the Brighton Ridge run in some form or another. #13 1-22-16 In combination with Peak 10,420 and Jupiter Hill. Very windy but still great. #14 with Lana. After 10420 twice and Clayton Peak. Snowshoed from closed gate on Guardsman on a snowy snowy year. #15 03-22-24 W/Lana. SS from winter gate to 10420, Clayton Peak, 10420, G. Pass and up. Nice day. #16 & #17 03-29-24 Like 03-22 but tacked on Jupiter Hill from Tri-County and then back over Tri before descending the normal way back to the parked car at the winter closure of the road.

12/13/2014: Along with 10,420. Beat the storm.
12/24/2014: What a way to spend the morning on Christmas Eve. WOW
12/27/2014: Three-fer again today. 1 degree when we started 16 degrees when we finished. BRRRR

Easy Hike
Drove up guardsman pass after work to spend a little time at higher altitudes. I walked straight up the hill to the top of Tri-County Peak. It took only a few minutes. I then followed the ridge to Scott Hill and back. The cool wind was nice and the views were great. Not too bad when your car does most of the work.
