Trout Peak summit block

As you approach this steep mass from the east ridge, it becomes more and more apparent how difficult climbing it would be. The best option looks to be a traverse to the left just above the large snowbank; my climbing partner and I traversed to the right just under the lowest band of rocks, which proved to be very harrowing and took an hour of very careful stepping to reach the snowbank on the right. The face is about 600 feet high.
