Tumwater Mountain Ridgetop

Hiking south along the ridgetop of Tumwater Mountain, located near Leavenworth, WA. The ridgetop is full of fallen trees, as shown here. While hiking towards the summit of the mountain, the fallen timber debris must be hiked over, under, around, or avoided (if/when possible). Photo taken on May 16, 2010.

Was there a severe storm up there?

I remember a hike I did once, climbing over one tree trunk after the next, I don't know how many of them...Oof!

I do not think I saw any cut marks, as if from logging, so I can only assume storms and/or parasites.
