Mt. VillardI take it that this is Mt. Villard in the center of the photo. Do you have any shots of the ridge that connects Mt. Villard to Glacier Peak by any chance?

Re: Mt. VillardYes, that is Mt. Villard. I have at least two photos showing the connecting ridge between Villard and Glacier Peak. Do you want to start a Mt. Villard page, or should I post them here?

Re: Mt. VillardI was planning to skin into Mt. Villard and Glacier Peak in late spring this year; I was just wondering what the ridge looked like.
I'd be happy to create a page for them after that.
Perhaps you can post them on this route description for the time being just for reference?

Re: Mt. VillardAre you planning to climb Glacier?

Re: Mt. VillardYes, I was hoping to take the connecting ridge between the two. I'm willing to bet that it would be a great late season ski! It looks relatively tame around there and I was also considering taking my little sister somewhere up on the plateau later in the summer. Have you been there or climbed either Villard or Glacier?
But are you asking about Granite? I Would like to do that too from this side but late Septemeber some year would be my intent there.

Re: Mt. VillardFrom the top of Granite you get this spectacular view of the Beckey Couloir on Glacier. That's the one I want. 55 degree ice to 5.7 rotten rock. Sounds like a worthy adventure. I'll probably be down later in the year, but I would be interested to get details.

Re: Mt. VillardI'll snap a photo for you when I get up there. Is it the couloir just to the Northwest of the summit?

Re: Mt. VillardSounds right. It is the BIG one on the north face that looks across to Granite. If you hit the saddle between Skytop and Hidden glaciers you should have a spectacular look at it. On the topo it is gash just below the 11200 countour line, just north of the summit. But if you see it, you won't miss it at all.
