Upper Pahsimeroi River

Upper Pahsimeroi River

An elk standing in a meadow near the headwaters of the West Fork Pahsimeroi River. The north face of White Cap Peak towers above. She eyed us for a while, and then bounded off into the trees.

Sweet Pic!

The Elk, the peak, everything is great! Nice job! Is it possible to climb from this side? That ridge to the left looks pretty tempting.

Re: Sweet Pic!

Thanks Matt. White Cap would be an easy climb from this side. There's a trail that takes you to Leatherman Pass, and the book rates the east ridge as class 2-3.

Re: Sweet Pic!

Thanks for the info! I read up on it last night in my copy and now I'm planning on climbing White Cap and Leatherman this summer.
