This must be anobsession for most "high-pointers, along with
Elbert. You are experiencing many different
life zones and vegetation types. I've never
been to the northern half of New Mexico. It
looks like a beautiful setting, for both marmots and people. The weather looked like it was nearly perfect, and I'm especially
glad you didn't TRIP over the marmot.
(I wonder if people are 'monitoring' the
marmot population of the western US.) Seems
like there would be plenty of marmots to
count, keeping a person BUSY for the rest of
eternity. Great summertime summit photo, Dean!

Re: This must be anObsession is the correct word. Northern NM is indeed nice and so were the people there. I really enjoyed the Wheeler Peak area and Taos.
It was interesting to also drive through part of the Philmont Boy Scout area. I hope to go back some time to visit more in that area. Thanks Larry, I always enjoy your comments.
