Vallüla (2813m) towering over the Kleinvermunt valley

Seen from early on the trail from Bielerhöhe to Hohes Rad. The easiest route to Vallüla involves a bit of UIAA grade II climbing. There is a hiking trail to the base of a steep couloir, and after that is scrambling and climbing to the top. The route is marked with red paint. The minor peak immediately left of Vallüla is Klein Vallüla (2643m), which is a bit easier to reach, but has no trail whatsoever, and no paint marks. The small peak further right is the Ballunspitze (2671m), which has a Via Ferrata to the top that's mostly easy, but with a couple of hard parts (grade C/D). 19 July 2013.
