View from Capulin Volcano Rim Trail

Though it's one mile paved rim trail makes it an easy hike, the views from Capulin Volcano, NM, are still quite nice. This is what one will see from the northwest part of the rim trail, looking south across the caldera rim. The nicely formed hill in the center is Horseshoe Crater. The high peak in the distance is Palo Blanco Mountain. Hogeye Mesa is on the right at the horizon. Imaged in August 2011.
