View from the summit of Visocica towards SE at mid May. Immediately after snow retreats hundreds of Saffron’s break through grass burned by snow. Far behind (12km away) is Babin Vrh (1738m), first peak in highest peaks group that is placed above Paklenica valley and in Paklenica NP. Huge pyramid right of mid part of photo is Jelovac (1601m). Below it, mostly under snow, with only upper third visible is Mala Visocica (1500m) or Small Visocica. Large meadow on the left is Rudina (almost kilometer long). Visocica - Struge route goes down and up over Mala Visocica and from there descends towards left and Rudina (1.30h from Visocica). From there path continues through forested valley behind Jelovac peak. Struge refuge is far behind the sharp summit of Jelovac and it takes 6h to get there.
