Re: PumoriYep, that's Kala Pataar; the dark hill. That little hill is 18,200 feet. Kind of gives you a perspective of how big the Himalayas are. Nearly everything below 5000 meters (16,400 feet) is refered to as "hill".

Re: Pumori...attempt the big one... Would want do so as well. But when we were in the region last year, 3 sherpas died from falling ice on the normal route (the right face shown on your picture). Unfortunately Pumori seems to be a mountain with a dangerous normal route. Ridges appear more save but also much more difficult.
