The upper Railroad Grade in...
The upper Railroad Grade in early June, 2000, taken from the lower Easton Glacier (~7600'). These tents constituted the highest camp, right on the edge of the glacier where the last rocks disappear. We camped further down the Grade (which curves off to the left in this photo), about where the trees begin. Although we enjoyed some protection from the wind during a storm we had to wait out, the lower camp elevation added about 30 minutes to our ascent.
