Small correction... ?That looks like the view down the Southeast Face, not the North Face...

Re: Small correction... ?It's not - we crossed the ridge. Thats why there is snow there in late August. None on the Piute Pass trail side at all. Trust me. Your looking east on the north side of the ridge - towards Buttermilk Country.

Re: Small correction... ?Ok, I think the caption makes sense now. But I'm pretty sure that's looking SE towards North Lake, not the Buttermilks. Here's a similar angle taken recently:
