BeautifulWow, this is picture perfect, like posters in book shops. But, what is that bellow surface or is it some strange reflection? Looks like wood boards?!

Re: BeautifulI think it's a digital camera glitch. I had about 10 other "mirror" shots which were ruined by the "strange reflection". This was the best of them.

Re: BeautifulMy first thought on seeing this picture was that they are shadows of trees on the shore of the lake to the right (east). Could this be?

Re: BeautifulI agree. That's what they look like to me.
Nice photo Alan!

I figured it out...The light spots are the sun shining through the trees which are out of sight on the right. And the long dark lines on the lake are the long shadows of the trees caused by an early morning sun.

making it perfectIMO, this photo is very good but to make it perfect you could crop the leaves/tree branches from the bottom and the right side.

Re: making it perfectI disagree. It helps to link the foreground and backround. Great shot Alan!

Re: making it perfectI see your point, but again IMO it could work with a bit of more leaves/grass/branches. There is just not enough of them in this picture. It is still very good though. It's time for me to start climbing outside of California :)

Re: unreal stuff...For about $500,000/acre, you too can have this in your back yard! Just move to Jackson Hole, WY.
