Babino Jezero (1598m) lake...

Babino Jezero (1598m) lake is placed by the Bukova Staza route and is 7m deep. It is lying below Babin Vrh (1738m) and is 7-8 months per year frozen or under deep snow. Here it is seen at the end of May but in some years at this time it can still be under snow. In winter, as you walk over it, no one would guess that lake is below. Some 15mins above the lake Bukova Staza route joins Struge route on the way from Paklenica hut towards Vaganski Vrh (1757m). Behind is back side of Viserujna (1632m). Photo: Aleksandar Gospic
