In winter Zavizan , as whole...
In winter Zavizan, as whole Velebit, is usually under deep snow. Here you can see only tops of 5-6m high beeches, barely sticking out. High spruces which resisted to be buried are shackled with ice. This frequently happens as Velebit spends lot of time in the clouds. Each winter ice brakes many trees and badly damages antennas and weather instruments at Zavizan hut.
