On the old cross-country...

On the old cross-country approach from the SE, after surmounting the short escarpment at the edge, I still had to walk the table for several hundred yards, all along keeping an eye out for something manmade. Eventually, I saw my destination. One has to be careful of prickly things underfoot. They like to grab at your ankles. Also, there are cowpies up there. Even the cows seem to enjoy visiting this high-point. As I neared the monolith, I discovered a worn trail approaching from the east. That is how I found out about the new trail. July 2003.
