Approaching winter in Krasanska Duliba valley which is squeezed between the Zavizan group (on the left) and Senjsko Bilo group (right, not visible) on North Velebit. It harbors largest and one of last surviving Velebit villages, Krasno (800m), whose scattered houses are seen on the edge of the meadows. Area is very picturesque and is aiming to develop mountains tourism. Krasno is also known for its special Velebit cheese. Here, in summer, one can sleep nicely under blanket even during hot summers while on the 24km distant coast even nights are relentlessly hot. During the day you can descent down and enjoy sea fun. In winter Krasno has plenty of snow while temps can drop to -30°C and even lower. Photo: Aleksandar Gospic
