Re: Nice pics/ questionIt was 90% snow travel from 10,000 feet to the top of Belford, with about 500 feet (10,800-11,300) of some nasty, deep snow. I sank up to the waist even with my snowshoes on more than a few times. The ridge up Belford was good. I did it with boots and trekking poles. Going over to Oxford looked like it would be easy. Be real careful if you do Missouri from this side. The east side of the ridge that runs north from Missouri is loaded with snow. I counted twelve recent loose slides (one crossing the standard route) and two slab avalanches on my way up this morning and then witnessed a loose slide drop about 800 feet to the valley floor as I was breaking camp at 11:30 AM.

Re: Nice pics/ questionpetersbike, I would consider that Colonelpyat has broken trail for you, and will make it easier for you, if you are coming out here tomorrow. The weather outlook looks good at least until Sat.
