Okay, so here I am very near...

Okay, so here I am very near the summit of Midnight Mountain. I'm pointing down into a strange hole in the ground (6 ft deep x 4 ft x 4 ft). Definitely manmade. I guess it was a mine prospect that fizzled early. On the return to the car, I talked to a couple of guys who also knew about the hole but thought it was much more expansive. They said they took minimal spelunking equipment up there to do some exploring. Imagine their disappointment when the hole turned out to be no bigger than an open grave. May 31, 2004.
