On our way down

After our unsuccessful ascent to Moldoveanu, it turned out to be impossible to get back to our car at the bottom of Sambata valley. All but one of several wooden bridges crossing the stream were washed away due to heavy raining. We had to go back to the cabin at 1400m and spend the night there. The next day we successfully got out of the valley after a brutal 8-hour descent. On our way up it took only 3 hours. (13 July 2009)
