... on the trail to the Inca drawbridge. This is one of the ancient access roads to Machu Picchu, clinging to a sheer face. It's easy to see how few defenders could withstand an attack here, especially if the drawbridge was removed: you can see it as the gap in the trail, slightly to the right, covered by a bit of wood.
By the way, the trail is wide enough, but, understandably, the sheer drop makes people cautious.
